Milestone Birthday Cake Toppers
A milestone birthday cake topper has one job: make the number the loudest thing in the room. Which topper for which milestone?

Ordering in time for a surprise party
Two things go wrong with surprise parties: the topper arrives late, or the topper arrives at the wrong house. We make each topper to order and deliver it, tracked, within five to ten days, so allow a fortnight between clicking buy and lighting the fountain — more if the date cannot move. Send it to your address, not theirs.
If you are collecting the cake from a bakery on the day, the topper does not need to get there first. It goes on at the last minute, in a kitchen, out of sight, roughly ninety seconds before the cake comes out.
Cake size, placement and the venue question
These are about 15 cm across, which sits comfortably on a 7-inch cake and looks deliberate on an 8- or 10-inch one. On anything smaller than 6 inches it will overhang, which some people rather like. On a tiered cake it belongs dead centre on the top tier, with the fountain socket clear of bunting, balloon arches and low light fittings.
One practical note for a 40th or 50th in a hired room: check the venue's rules on indoor fountains before you buy a fountain. Plenty of function rooms and almost all marquees say no. The topper still works perfectly unlit — it is a solid printed number with his or her name on it either way — so a venue ban is not a reason to skip it.

Two weeks is comfortable anywhere we deliver. Every topper is made to order and delivered, tracked, within five to ten days, so a fortnight covers the making, the post and a few spare days. Leave longer in June and July, when weddings and hen parties fill the bench.
Is the sparkler included?
No. Every design has the holder moulded into its base, but the ice fountain is bought separately — supermarkets and party shops stock them for a couple of euros. We are a printing studio rather than a firework retailer, and posting pyrotechnics across borders is a different trade with different rules.
Can I use the topper again next year?
The undated designs, yes. Anything with a specific age printed on it is a record of that particular birthday, which is rather the point, since 50 does not come round twice. Most people keep them: on a shelf, in a memory box, or handed on to whoever is turning 50 next.
