Sports & Hobby Cake Toppers
Five sports cake toppers for the birthdays where the hobby is the personality: a personalised footballer with a name and age, a golfer with a name, a second golf design that adds a milestone age for a 40th, 50th or 60th, an angler for the fisherman in the family, and a nautical anchor for sailors and boat people. All are 3D printed to order in Spain, roughly 15 cm wide, personalised free, and all carry a socket in the base for a standard ice-fountain sparkler. There are no club badges, crests or team names on any of them — that is deliberate, and it is explained below.
Why there are no club badges on our football toppers
Club crests, kit designs and team names are trademarks. Plenty of small shops sell toppers carrying them anyway; we do not, partly because it is somebody else's property and partly because a listing pulled two days before a birthday helps nobody at all.
What we use instead is colour. The football topper is printed in a choice of ten, including four multicolour blends, so you pick whichever is closest and let the recipient do the rest — everyone at that table already knows exactly which club a seven-year-old in that particular shade of blue supports. The name and the age go on the topper; the loyalty is implied.
Two golf toppers, and the difference between them
The personalised golf topper takes a name only. It is the everyday one: a birthday, a retirement, Father's Day, or a hole-in-one that will be discussed for a decade.
The milestone golf topper takes a name and an age together and is built for the big ones — a 40th, a 50th, a 60th, a 70th. If the number is the point of the party, buy that one. If the golf is the point and the number is incidental, buy the plain one, because it will not be out of date next year.
Fishing, sailing and the gift-for-him problem
The angler and the anchor exist because certain men are impossible to buy presents for and entirely possible to decorate a cake for. The fishing topper takes a name and goes mostly to dads and grandads, at birthdays and on Father's Day. The nautical anchor takes a name and suits sailors, boat owners, seaside birthdays and retirement from anything involving water.
Both are around 15 cm wide, solid printed PLA rather than card, and both hold a standard ice fountain in the base, which is a considerably better version of the moment than a lighter and a leaning candle. The fountain is bought separately and we do not sell it. Light it clear of anything overhead, let it burn out, and take the topper off before the cake is cut, because it is a decoration and not something to eat.

Can I have my team's badge or club name on the topper?
No. Club crests and team names are registered trademarks and we will not print them. Choose the closest colour instead — the football topper comes in ten, including multicolour blends — and add the name and age. Everyone at the party will know perfectly well which club is meant.
Which golf cake topper should I buy for a 60th?
The milestone golf design, because it carries a name and the number together and therefore works as a keepsake for that specific birthday. The plain personalised golfer takes the name only, which is the better choice if you want something that is not tied to one particular year.
Can I put a name and an age on a sports cake topper?
The football topper and the milestone golf topper take both. The plain golf, fishing and anchor designs take a name on its own. Whichever you pick, the text is printed exactly as typed, so check capitals and spelling: "Grandad" and "grandad" will each come out precisely as written.
Is a sports cake topper edible?
No, and it is not food safe either. These are 3D-printed PLA decorations that sit on top of the cake and are lifted off before it is cut. If the icing is soft, put a small disc of baking paper under the base. Afterwards it washes clean and keeps, usually on a shelf in the shed.
Does the sparkler come with it?
No. Every design has the holder moulded into the base, but the ice fountain is bought separately from a supermarket or party shop. It must be a standard upright cake fountain rather than a thin handheld sparkler, because the socket is shaped for the rigid tube base that ice fountains have.
